1. Data Collection

We respect your privacy. VidArchitect is designed to be a "Zero-Retention" analysis tool. When you use our extension, we process only the minimum data required to perform the analysis:

YouTube URL & Title: To identify the content you want to analyze.
Video Transcript: Publicly available caption data is fetched to generate the summary.

                    We DO NOT collect:
                    Names, Email addresses, or Phone numbers.
Browser history (other than the active YouTube tab).
Personal account credentials.

                

2. Data Usage & Processing

All video content processing occurs in-memory. This means:

We generate the analysis (Blueprint, Summary) in real-time.
Once the analysis is sent back to your browser, the transcript data is discarded from our processing memory.
We do not build a permanent database of your analyzed videos for tracking purposes.

3. Third-Party Sharing

To provide high-quality AI analysis, we securely transmit the anonymized transcript to our LLM Provider (OpenRouter/Google Gemini). This transmission is encrypted and strictly for the purpose of generating the single response requested by you.

We NEVER sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers or third-party marketing agencies.

4. Purpose

VidArchitect exists to serve the technical community, students, and lifelong learners. Our goal is to accelerate learning by transforming long videos into actionable engineering blueprints.
